QUIET THE HEART

To fill one's cup with a new destiny
one's cup must first be made empty.

You need not look far to see those shackled
by the past, leaving them hobbled, crippled.

To go forward with heart that's whole
is a healing within your Personal control.

Hence the focus is on nourishment
(a spirit and body requirement).

The providing of care and nourishment
to the right people is very important.

Be attentive in the right way.
Give a listen to what they say.

If we wish to know their character
we need only observe what they prefer.

Who, or what, is it that one caters to?
What side of one's nature is tended to?

If we wish to know if one is superior:
What aspect of self does one consider?

Which aspects are guarded?
Which aspects disregarded?

27. NURTURE: THE LINES
NINE AT THE BOTTOM:
The drooping corners of your mouth show
that you let your magic tortoise go.
One fitted by nature and position to
think independently... free of ego...
becomes envious at other's outward show.
How sad it is that one has sunk so low.

6 AT THE 2nd PLACE:
Although able to nourish yourself, by deeds,
you rely on guile, and others, to fill your needs.
You let your garden become full of weeds.
Your soil is pregnant with disaster's seeds.

SIX IN THIRD PLACE:
Mad pursuit of empty pleasure,
in trying to satisfy your senses, never
brings you to goals secure.
Nothing ever comes to flower.

SIX IN FOURTH PLACE:
Desire to nourish meets with success.
The help of others you may enlist.
Seek helpers of your likeness.
There is no mistake in this.

SIX IN FIFTH PLACE:
One has neither strength or opportunity
to tend to the needs of one's community.
One is conscious of this self-deficiency
and turns from that which is customary
consulting with someone who is spiritually
superior (but undistinguished outwardly).
If one keeps this attitude perseveringly...
The way to success is lit by opportunity.
In remaining aware of one's dependency
one must not have a pushy personality
nor should one attempt great activity.

NINE AT THE TOP MEANS:
This describes a sage of the highest orders,
with this influence, providing for others
(a great burden to have on one's shoulders).
With this in mind... Success in great labors
brings one great joy for self and others.
