This is not a state of rest
and relaxation for mere standing still is mere
repression. It's a self-contained, self
renewing, motion of an organized, firmly integrated,
action.
Luminaries, in fixed orbits,
image Duration. Seasons follow a fixed law of
transformation. In knowing what gives things
their Duration we can understand the nature
of all creation.
In context of social and business
relation, and of covenants, and their
application. The superior one must show dedication and does not ever change one's
direction.
Thunder and Wind are examples
of motion and seem out of context with
Duration. But the internal laws of their
perpetuation (of their coming and going)
have duration.
One should not marry rigid immobilization but keep abreast of the times
by adaptation. What endures is the unswerving
dedication of one's being which determines
all action.
Regular use of Prayer Ab Wheel will strengthen spirit, gut, and backbone.
At each outreach pray: "Dear God. Give me the strength to do your will." Try to do 32.
32. DURATION: THE LINES
SIX AT THE BOTTOM: Seeking duration too hastily brings bad luck persistently. Endurance is made gradually by long continued industry and careful reflectivity. Wanting too much immediately is acting too precipitously. By inclining to extremity one ends up in liability.
NINE IN SECOND PLACE: Force of character is greater than available material power. Thus one might have gnawing fear of allowing oneself to endeavor beyond ones strength and power. It's a time of DURATION, however. It is possible to control one's inner force avoiding excess and error. Thus, cause for remorse will disappear.
NINE IN THE THIRD PLACE: Disgrace from unexpected quarter. Not having duration of character meets with a humiliating future. If one has moods of hope and fear one loses constancy of character. Such experiences are not mere effects produced by outer order but results of ones own nature.
NINE IN FOURTH PLACE: Persistent search isn't satisfactory. If we want to get a shot at a quarry we must go about it in the right way. Hunting game where there is none may result in waiting... never finding any.
SIX IN FIFTH PLACE: One maintains traditional fidelity. A wife (being conscious of frailty) should manifest submissive docility. A husband employs proper husbandry (Careful management that's thrifty).
SIX AT THE TOP: Impatience is a chronic condition that can only bring one misfortune. Rushing doesn't result in composure but can only expose one to danger.
