In estrangement we cannot carry
out much as our outlooks vary.
Do not, under any circumstance,
proceed abruptly in pursuance.
Being pushy increases opposition.
(Be content with gradualization.)
When people live in opposition...
In small matters... Good fortune.
On gradual effects in small ways...
This is what the hexagraph says:
"Opposition isn't always hostility.
Success can still be a possibility."
Water and fire can be harnessed
to benefit all. Everyone is blessed.
Tho opposition oft' equals obstruction
we need not preclude reconciliation.
When conditions of polarity is the norm
there exists a potential to create form...
MANDOLA EFFECT:
Like tuning strings to proper tension
resulting in harmony and resonation.
Earth & Heaven are poles in opposition
yet everything owes them their creation.
In the visible world and the invisible
discriminating differences is possible.
So too the cultured one is never led
into baseness, vulgarity, or lose head.

THE LINES
NINE AT THE BOTTOM:
On losing your goat don't chase it.
It will come back when it sees fit.
When you see evil don't have a fit.
It will go away when it sees fit.
NINE IN SECOND PLACE:
It's best to go around obstacles
but here one must face troubles.
In serving a cause, that is higher,
one is duty-bound to face danger.
One may do it without compunction
since one didn't create the situation.
SIX IN THIRD PLACE:
A bad start... but a good end is won.
Something drags back ones wagon
as it is not in the right position.
It seems to one in such a position...
Things are conspiring against one.
One feels checked... put upon...
(obstructed and treated with scorn).
Don't be misled... Despite opposition
we must cleave to what we belong.
NINE IN FOURTH PLACE:
Despite danger... No damnation.
Isolated, through opposition,
one meets a like-minded one.
Thru "good faith" association
one attains ones ambition.
SIX IN FIFTH PLACE:
One comes upon a sincere one
unrecognized because of suspicion.
One cuts through the tradition
that causes all the separation.
NINE AT THE TOP:
Misunderstanding causes isolation
brought about by an inner condition.
Isolated, because of opposition,
one percieves ones companion
as a wagon full of perdition.
At first one reaches for a gun,
but, upon percieving best intention,
one puts it aside in compassion.
Seeking union will relieve tension. |
