50. CAULDRON: THE LINES
BOTTOM 6:
Nothing ventured... Nothing earned...
Here we find a cauldron with legs upturned.
Do something dramatic for what is yearned.
No blame. Stagnant things must be spurned.
NINE IN SECOND PLACE:
In a period of advanced culture
one should do something greater
(like focusing on a real career).
You may invoke jealousy and disfavor.
But this poses no real danger.
NINE IN THIRD PLACE:
Gift of mind and qualification
all needlessly go to damnation
in an advanced civilization
where one gets no recognition
posing a real block to actuation...
If one comes to a conversion
in finding true spiritualization
there will come a revelation...
Hardships will find resolution
as rain falls in precipitation
bringing a release of tension.
IN 9 IN 4TH PLACE one
is foiled.
The legs of the cauldron are despoiled.
The Princes' meal is spilled and spoiled.
Misfortune... His person is all soiled.
Dealing with those of inferior character
can only end up in disaster.
This will prove be a serious error.
As wise Confucius has this to offer:
"A weak character in a place of honor...
With limited knowledge but a big planner...
With heavy responsibility but limited power...
Only serves one to a great helping of disaster".
SIX IN THE FIFTH PLACE:
The cauldron has a golden handle
meaning that one is firm and undistractable
yet of modest nature and approachable.
As result of this attitude unquenchable...
One finds helpers who are strong and able.
NINE AT THE TOP MEANS:
Greatness and Clarity emerge at this stage:
One's inner self is developed as a sage.
Favorable circumstances assuage.
