I CHING CROSS REFERENCE TABLE

You have just configured your Universal Problem Code (UPC) which you will need in order to find the particular call number in the TABLE below that will bring you to your particular reading.

The following continued Instructions, and Table, are designed to help you cross reference the upper (pink top row) and lower (right blue column) halves of your UPC so that you can find the call number that will bring you to the poetic reading that should speak to your particular situation.

The top half of YOUR UPC must be compared with one of the UPC halves in the pink top row.

The lower half of YOUR UPC must be compared with one of the UPC-halves in the blue column down.

Once you have located the corresponding halves move your finger (or eyes) across and down the rows and columns of numbers to the LINKED NUMBER where the two corresponding halves converge. This is the UPC CALL NUMBER which you will need to get the poetic reading that will "speak" to your particular situation.

Note number 1 in the table below. You will see that the upper trigram YANG TRIGRAM is the same as the lower trigram YANG TRIGRAM ( all solid "Yang" lines).

Together (the upper and lower) trigrams form one UPC of solid yang lines which represent UPC 1 (The Creative).

Notice how the upper lower trigrams of all broken "Yin" lines come together where there is a 2.

This means that the upper and lower trigrams come together to create UPC 2 (The Receptive).
